Conference FAQs

The following information will answer questions you may have regarding the conference. Please e-mail the EMC World Program Office with any questions that are not addressed.

Presentations
EMC World 2008 conference registrants can now download presentations.

Agenda
For a snapshot of the EMC World agenda, click here. Onsite at Mandalay Bay daily updates to the session schedule will be posted each morning on plasma screens.

Attire
The dress code for the event is business casual.

Badges
Your name badge is required for admission to all conference session events and evening activities. Please make sure that it is visible at all times. A badge replacement fee will be charged for each replacement badge printed.

Breakout Sessions & Materials
Breakout sessions will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. EMC World 2008 conference registrants can now download presentations.

Cancellations
To cancel your registration, send a message to EMC World Program Office and include your name, company name, and registration identification number. Please note that cancellation requests cannot be processed over the phone. To receive a partial refund, be sure to e-mail your request on or before Monday, May 5, 2008. Upon confirmation, a refund minus a $195 service charge will be applied to your account. No refunds will be given on cancellation requests received after May 5, 2008. Conference no-shows are ineligible for a refund. Attendees paying via an EMC SO# must contact their EMC sales representative directly to request a refund.

Conference Dates
EMC World will be held May 19-22, 2008 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. A registration welcome reception will take place on Sunday, May 18th between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Ground Transportation to Mandalay Bay
EMC will provide transportation between Mandalay Bay and the MGM hotel. Attendees staying at other hotels will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from the event.

Ground Transportation to/from McCarran International Airport
All attendees are responsible for making transportation arrangements from the airport to the hotel of their choice. Cab and shuttle services are available at the airport.

Location
EMC World 2008 will be held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Presentations
Conference registrants will be able to download presentation materials from the EMC World website starting on or before June 30, 2008.

Registration and Welcome Reception
Onsite registration will take place at Mandalay Bay on Sunday, May 18th between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

EMC World's exhibit floor is the place to network with more than 125 of EMC's most strategic partners.

Special Assistance
During the conference registration process you will be asked if you have any special needs or requests. If you require special assistance or or have particular dietary needs, please be sure to note them as you register. if you have any questions, please contact the EMC World Program Office. Sponsorships
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of EMC World, please contact sponsorships@EMC.com.

Substitutions
Name change substitutions are free of charge but can only be processed between employees of the same company. To complete a substitution, the original registrant must email the EMC World Program Office with the name and email address of the substituting registrant. A $195 service fee will apply for any substitutions involving payment changes. All substitution requests (both pre-event and onsite) must follow this process or the new registrant will be subject to pay the current registration rate.

Summit Leaders Club

Membership into EMC World's Summit Leaders Club is limited to attendees who loyally attend EMC World year after year. This offer is limited to customers and partners whose accounts for 2007/2008 are in good standing and attended EMC World 2007. Eligible attendees will be automatically enrolled in the Summit Leaders Club for 2008. Please note that EMC employees and exhibit-only sponsor registrants are not eligible. Visa Letters
If you are traveling from a country that requires you to obtain a visa letter, please contact the EMC World Program Office. You will need to register for EMC World before a visa letter can be issued.
